I'm using the numbers in the pattern, and I'm getting about 4.25" per inch. I think I'm going to do thicker stripes so I don't have to sew in the ends after I finish.

Start of Tomten
I started the Tomten jacket - I had an idea, I think I'm going to line it with some fleece, so it'll be a little warmer than just the cotton. I want an I-cord edging and a zipper. I just have to actually finish it for Christmas! I'm aiming for a 2 year old size, using some baby sweater measurements from Knitty to base the length and width on.
