3rd FO Post in a Row: Feeling Productive!

I made a hat. It's a little big, but that means more warmth for my head! I love hats, and I lost mine about a month ago (oddly, it was also a Jared Flood pattern - a Koolhaas). I was extremely worried about the yarn situation for the pattern, and had a right to be. The pattern (a Relm, from the Knit. 1 Fall/Winter Issue - which I love, by the way!) called for something like 265 yards, and I only had 218.

But I had this much left over, even after skipping row (by accident, but I didn't fix it because I was worried so much about yarn!).

Pattern: Relm by Jared Flood (I think I'm going to buy Porom, too, I think I love berets...)
Yarn: Valley Yarns Stockbridge 2 skeins EXACTLY. - A Lovely yarn, but sadly I think this is the kind of alpaca that I'm slightly allergic too, my hands were itchy and dry when working with it.
Needles: Size 6 and 8 16" circs plus a 32" size 8 circ for magic loop.

In other news, I haven't started that second mitten and I had about 8 inches on the sweater knit up (just plain stockinette with decreases goes fast) but I placed the decreases wrong at the beginning. I frogged back down to the ribbing, about 6 inches of work lost. Grrr. But it's not like it's a difficult knit, so I'm not worried. I have plans this year for lots of socks. I counted, and I have enough yarn for 10 pairs of socks, and I think I'm going to try to only buy sock yarn from AcMoore or knitpicks this year. Just the basics! I have all the pretty stuff in my stash!

I did spin a teensy bit, mostly because I went to a spinning group on Thursday, and I'm planning on going again on Thursday.

Just some plain o' domestic wool, very rough to spin with but it'll make a nice rustic yarn. I have no idea what to make out of it though, let alone what color to dye it once it's been plied...

I saw that pattern in the Knit.1, and was contemplating buying the magazine just for that. I was so surprised! Recently, Knit.1's been late, or really bad, but this one was nice =). Gorgeous Relm, sad news about the alpaca allergy and the lost Koolhaas =(.

Darn, I want that mitten pattern =(. It's so very pretty, especially in the colours you've chosen.

Well done for the spinning! And may I suggest something purple?

(PS I'm Magic-Looping toe-up socks! Two 16" circs! I'm so proud of myself =P)
