Feeling Productive Part 2.

I was rather productive today, I'm very proud of myself. First, I dyed some yarn and roving. I spun some white domestic wool at the spinning group, but of course I forgot to take pictures.

This is how I dye yarn:

I love the way this turned out.

I dyed some BFL roving, but the picture of it was sad and dark - but here is some nice fluffy stuff that I haven't dyed... I'm thinking a sport weight 3 ply, but we'll see.

Unfortunately, this last skein (a superwash merino sock yarn that I had like 50gr of)I am not happy with at all. I LOVE the color of it, but the white spots are just too much.

I also made a bag for my friend heather for her birthday!

I made her a sock bag last year for her birthday, but at the dyeing party we had in June, dye got spilled all over her sock bag, but luckily, the sock inside was the same shade of purple, so it ended up with only a slightly purple and crumpled bag!

I also started a hat, but I don't think I have enough yarn, so, I might frog it...

It's Porom by Jared Flood, and the patterns calls for more yarn than I have, and I don't know if handspun likes this pattern. We'll see...

Ooh! It's purple! It is indeed lovely. The superwash merino looks fine. I think it just needs another dye-bath to make it less spotty.

*Lovely* bag. The little pockets inside, with the fabrics... It's darling. your friend is very lucky!

Ooh, nice hat.

Wow, you are very productive! I like the way you dyed your yarn, but then I like a little white spots sometimes. ;)
