Finally - Blue

Finally, after a good three weeks of clouds and rain constantly, we see some blue sky for more than three hopeful minutes! As a lifeguard, I've had to stand in all that rain and more recently, they've been closing the waterpark for the day or earlier than normal (which, while it's nice to be out of the rain, means less money!). So hopefully, this sky will last past this afternoon.

I have been knitting. I think I'll have a completed pair of handspun socks soon!

I've also been planning. My baby cousin is 10 almost 11 months old, and I want to knit him a Tomten jacket for christmas. I think I want to use Cotton-Ease for price and for ease of care, but haven't decided what colors yet. I'm thinking blue and lime green or lime green and yellow.

He's so cute! I can't wait to start on the squishy garter stitch! (nevermind that I don't even have the yarn...)

Sounds adorable! I love all the adorable baby/kids' knitting patterns out there, but there aren't any babies or kids in my life right now, so I have to resist the urge to knit them up, just for the sake of cuteness.

Use a darker color. When babies get older they get their clothes dirtier.
