So THAT's What It's Like Without the Internet

I knit Alot. Alot with a capitol "A".

This knitting includes, from top to bottom, right to left: an FO (just simple sock, on size 2.75 mms, with Knitpick's Risata), some more socks (mollee's college socks, unmatching and in different patterns, too!), a new pair of mittens (polka dots in my own pattern, hopefully to be written up!), and a close up of the college socks! I got quite a bit done.

And look at the sky! And the waves! And me! When I was at South Beach (which is the outer portion of cape cod), Storm Cristobul was hitting the shores, accounting for the 6-7 foot high waves.

And about that cross... my brother just made it, no one died, and we certainly weren't sitting on their grave

Did anyone know that outdoor showers were so photogenic? Or rocking chairs? Or beach paths?

And I just love that sign...:)

FO: Green Stingray Scarf

Well, it's actually the Fiddlehead Scarf, but the repeat reminds me of stingrays.

Photobucket

Pattern: Fiddlehead Scarf by Anne Hanson.
Yarn: Misti Alpaca Lacweight, less than a skein. (I LOVE this yarn. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE)
Needles: 3.5mm, size four addi laces. I love these needles too, actually.
Mods: 50 repeats instead of 38. 50 repeats gave me about 65 inches, whereas 38 would have given me about 48 inches. I love long scarves.

I did a terrible job blocking this. Like, awful. I don't have blocking wires, but I didn't even try to do the string method. Stupid.

I love it. If only it wasn't humid and 85 degrees outside. Oh, fall, how I miss you.

You Cutie: An FO

Photobucket

I made this in two days. My boss at the yarn store when I came in there the other day asked if I was busy, and gave me some yarn to knit a sample with. Cute, no?

Pattern: Supercotton sock puppets, The Bumblebee.
Yarn: Supercotton, Black, white and yellow.
Needles: Dpns, size 4 and 7.
Mods: none, except I think the wings are different sizes. Still cute!

I tried it on my cat.

Photobucket

He didn't like it too much!

FO: Stash (CROCHETED!) Market Bag

I've had this Pima/tencel blend hanging out in my stash for.... oh, two years? Two balls, one of each color. Now that I've used all of it, I probably could have made a tank out of it, but I don't think I'd wear it!

Photobucket

It'll be nice to bring to the mall or just shopping. I don't grocery shop, but when I go to shop somewhere, I get a couple things... I don't use a plastic bag (I also recently convinced my boss to recycle too!). but then I look like I'm stealing!

Pattern:My own: SC Base, DC body.
Yarn: Cascade Pima Tencel, 1 ball grey and 1 ball black.
HOOK!: G, 3.5mm.
It was GREAT, because I started it on Saturday and finished on Sunday. Saturday I went to a long (but fun) party and this was a great project to pick up and put back down quickly!

Photobucket

I think I'll make another.

Oh, I've been ill (really really ill) the past couple of days. I even stayed home from school for two days and came home early today. I have so many final projects and no patience or energy to do them. I've knit but not alot... I've slept alot though!

FO: Anneli's Scarf

I finished and blocked it last night, and I stayed home from school today, so I took pictures:

Pattern:Lace Ribbon
Needles: Size four (I'm glad I went up a size, the drape with this gauge is lovely)
Yarn: Deep Sea Flower, Dream in Color Smooshy
Mods: none, other than the needle size. I did 20 repeats of the pattern and the scarf is about 60inches by 11 inches. Perfect size, my aunt could even wrap it around her head if she wanted (knowing her, she might want to).

I don't know if I mentioned I'm leaving this friday to go visit my aunt and uncle in California. If I have time, I'll still blog a little (I'm only there 5 days). And in two weeks, I'm going to see the Yarn harlot!

Finished: Mike's Twisty Socks

Photobucket

Pattern: Cabled Boot Socks from Favorite Knit Socks
Needles: Size 2.75 mm.
Yarn: Shibui Knits socks, about 1.5 skeins.
Mods:I knit the smallest size with called for needles for a man, and they're fine! I knit them for mike. (who, I assumed you know, is my boyfriend)

(hopefully I'll get some action pictures tonight? He has a little gig with an acapella group)

The color is entirely wrong, it's more of a bright bottle green. But not that bright. It's hard to photograph.
