A Meme, and Some More Swallowtail!

1) What was I doing ten years ago?
I was eight. I probably swinging in my backyard!

2) What are five (non-work) things on my to-do list for today:
I've done all these things already... but,
go to school, knit a little, and then go home.

3) Snacks I enjoy:
mike & ikes, chocolate, potato chips sometimes, I love homemade cheddar cheese nachos!

4) Things I would do if I were a billionaire:
Travel (europe mostly, and maybe china or Thailand).
Save up for my retirement (why would I quit my job?)
Make a couple trust funds for my children/grandchildren (future children that is!).
Have a really big wedding (Don't worry, Jess, you'd still be my photographer!).
And buy a yarn store (just for me. no one else can shop there)
And buy a house, maybe two, one in the city and one on a beach somewhere...

5) Places I have lived:
born in CT, lived here all my life!

6) Jobs I have had:
baby sitting, hostess at Friendly's and my AWESOME current job, a hostess at a local restaurant.

I know I'm supposed to tag people, but I hate tagging... I don't read a consistent 7 blogs!

So me and one of my good friends went out to lunch and then took pictures at the park! Oh, and I got some more Swallowtail prom pictures too! So, I know I've already FOed it, but here's some more!

I'm in love

I've finished, and I've blocked it!!!



I love it. It's lacy and pretty and ethnic looking (don't ask why. it just is), but it wasn't made out of laceweight!!!!It took me... hmm, if you count the restarting, about 6 days! (Yes, I restarted it. I went from 56 stitches to 80...)



It reminds me of witches and cauldrons and spiders and Harry Potter, so I feel like I should wear it this way (just because it reminds me of creepy old ladies in dark alleys with gnarled fingers):



So no one can see my face if I cast a spell on them in a dark alley. *Cackle*
I'm very happy with it. I accidently did four repeats and a half (suppose to do 5). Not only that, but it was the wrong half of a repeat!!!

Shoe #1

This is my favorite, but it's a little big. So it sometimes falls off, and I can't run in them (but that doesn't really matter.

(In a previous post I asked if there would be an objection to me post pictures of potential prom shoes)

Oh, yes, my prom is May 12. My AP history test is May 11, and I'm planning on failing (I really hope not, though).



And on the knitting front, I have offically recieved my yarn for the shawl for prom. And by shawl, I mean wide scarf. I've decided to have points on either end, so I can easily pin it. I post some pictures when I have more to show (I've barely finished the first repeat).

Good news-ful

Its been shipped (!!!). But its due at my house on friday, which is cutting it close, but doable.

Good news:

I Finished: Sort of: (I have a shirt on underneath, to aviod confusion)



Bad news: I have to knit that shawl. And I still have to sew some stuff on.
Like:
1. Straps (Halter? I dunno)
2. Gold border on to the blue.
3. Hem the green bit.
4. Possibly a bit more green on the inside, b/c you can see my bra, but no one will notice, so I don't know. Gah.
I also need to figure out my shoes situation. Flats? Heels? If so how tall? I'm not that tall, but I don't want to be taller then my boyfriend. Maybe kitten heels?

About the shawl (who's yarn is in Ohio) - I think I'm going to have it come to points on either end, so it's easier to pin. With this:
