I used Palette from knitpicks, about 2 balls of black.
size 8 straight needles.
Patt:
First point:
Cast on 4 sts.
Row 1:Purl across.
Row 2:Knit into front and back of first st, then knit to last two, knit into front and back of next st, K1.
Repeat the next two rows until you have 76sts, then knit into front and back of first two sts of the next RS row, and stop three sts before the end, knit into front and back of the next two sts, K1.
You should now have 80sts.
For the first st, purl on the WS, and sl on the right side. For the last st, sl on WS rows, K on RS rows.
Lace Patt:(always repeat section w/in the **)
Row 1(all WS rows): k1, *p10,k1* rep.
Row 2 and 4(RS): P1*k10, p1* rep.
Row 6, 10, and 14: p1 *k1, [yo, kl] 3 times, ssk 3 times, p1* rep.
Rows 8 and 12: p1, *k1, [k1, yo] 3 times, ssk 3 times, p1* rep.
For rows 16 and 18 rep rows 2 and 4.
Rows 20, 24, and 28: p1 *[k2tog] 3 times, [k1, yo] 3 times, k1 p1* rep.
Rows 22 and 26: p1 *[k2tog] 3 times, [yo, k1] 3 times, k1, p1* rep.
Repeat the lace pattern above 7 times with the 80sts.
Knit 5 patt repeats (or how many desired), ending after row 5 or row 19.
Put sts on holder.
Repeat process for the first point, until you have 80 sts.
Graft sts together (the shawl and the point).
Or just decrease the sts from the shawl in the same way as the increasing.

I, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. Now the pattern has to fight all my other plans for attention.
