Catch Up and an FO

Dear Blog:

I'm sorry for my absence. It was due to a couple things: first, school, and work. Both have kept me very busy this week. I also saw the Lion King musical at the Bushnell in hartford this week, which was wonderful. It was my present to Mike (happy birthday mike! He turned 21 today!).

Bags. I've been making tons. Someone asked for daschund fabric?

You got it.

I'll just leave you a collage of the finished ones (I still have more fabric, though I think I'll refrain for a couple days to make more - I still have more to list once I get cord in them!).

I did end up sewing the tape measure ribbon on, I think it looks lovely! I think it's about 1/16 of an inch off because I ironed it but that's only near the end!

I'm thinking of having a contest with a set of these as a prize, I just don't know what to have a contest about! I think I'll wait til the end of next week - I'm going on vacation and I'll have a little time to relax and get myself together!

In other KNITTING news: I finished my Fiddlehead mittens. (though now my hands are so dry it does hurt a little to wear them)

Pattern: Fiddlehead Mittens
Yarn: Outside: Ultra Alpaca, 2 skeins (used about 1/2 I would say), lining: Misti Alpaca Laceweight, less than one skein.
Needles: Size 3

I LOVE them. They are like a little hand heaters.

I have not been home alot during the day (worked open to 5 past two days at work!), so excuse the pictures please!

Anyways. I've been making bags, knitting and trying to do homework while working. We'll see if this works out.
